Vodafone has announced
special roaming plans for its
pre-paid subscribers in
India. Under then new
roaming
packs, customers are
charged 30p per minute and
90p
per minute for incoming and
outgoing respectively on
roaming.
Vodafone pre-paid
customers will be able to
receive
incoming calls while roaming
on Vodafone network at 30
paise per minute across the
country. Outgoing call rates
are highly competitive at 1.5
paise per second for all local
and STD calls, while roaming
or at home,& the
company
said in a statement.
“The plans come with a
roaming incoming benefit of
30
days and tariff validity of
180 days.”
The roaming packs are
priced in the range of Rs. 26
and
Rs. 47, which vary circle to
circle. In Delhi, the packs are
available for Rs. 21 and Rs.
42. The plans are currently
not available in Himachal
Pradesh, Odisha and Jammu
and Kashmir circles. For SMS
and data roaming,
Vodafone will charging
standard rates.

Vodafone's slashing of
roaming rates come months
after
Aircel introduced a similar
roaming plan which
comprised free incoming calls
on Aircel network on
roaming and charging local
and national voice calling at
1 paisa per second. The plan,
called One nation One
roaming, is available for Rs.
39 in Delhi with validity of 30
days; pricing varies in other
circles.
